    Welding Rod Variant, AWS Reference

    Welding-rod form of Incoloy 925 is supplied per AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-15 (matching INCO-WELD® 725NDUR filler) for matching-strength Incoloy 925 weld deposits. Used for GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG). Bare-wire form 1/16", 3/32", 1/8" (1.6 / 2.4 / 3.2 mm) common for stick electrodes; spool form for automatic / semi-automatic welding.     What's the difference between rods and bars? Largely a naming convention, both are solid round mill product. "Bar" tends to mean stock for fastener / forging input (broader cross-section variants: round / hex / square / flat); "rod" tends to mean round-only stock for downstream machining or welding-filler form.
