Continuous-thread rod per ASTM F1554 / DIN 976 — long lengths for cut-to-length bolting + anchor rod service
Incoloy 925 threaded rods (UNS N09925) are continuous-thread cylindrical rods supplied in long lengths (typically 1 m / 3 ft / 6 ft / 12 ft / 6 m) for two distinct uses: (1) cut-to-length stud-bolt manufacture, the field-fabrication alternative to ordering pre-cut stud bolts at every length, useful when bolt lengths vary across a project; and (2) anchor-rod service per ASTM F1554, embedded anchor bolts in concrete foundations, bridge bearings, equipment skids and structural-steel column bases. The threaded rod has the same metallurgy as a stud bolt or hex bolt, aged Incoloy 925 with 110 ksi YS, NACE MR0175 sour-service qualified, but is sold by length (not by individual fastener) and threaded continuously end-to-end. Customers cut to length in the field with a hacksaw or abrasive cutoff wheel, then deburr the cut end before installation. TorqBolt manufactures Incoloy 925 threaded rods in M6 to M64 (1/4" to 4") in lengths to 6 m, in the solution-annealed and aged condition (per heat-treatment specification) with 100% hardness inspection ensuring the 35 HRC NACE MR0175 sour-service cap.

Long-length availability: the 6 m maximum is set by primary mill bar-stock length and the 18-hour age cycle furnace clearance. Longer custom lengths possible by butt-welding two segments (per welding spec) but typically not preferred, specify max 6 m per piece for normal supply.

What's the difference between a threaded rod and a stud bolt? A stud bolt is supplied at a specific finished length (typically 50–1500 mm) with chamfered ends ready for installation. A threaded rod is a long-length continuous-thread bar (1–6 m) supplied for cut-to-length use, the customer cuts to length in the field, deburrs the cut end, and installs. Threaded rods are more economical for projects with many varying bolt lengths; stud bolts are preferred for fixed-design joints where the bolt-length spec doesn't change.
Can I cut Incoloy 925 threaded rod with a hacksaw? Yes, standard high-speed steel (HSS) hacksaw blade or abrasive cutoff wheel. Incoloy 925 work-hardens during cutting, so use moderate pressure + low cutting speed. Cool with cutting fluid (synthetic coolant); avoid sulphur-bearing oils which can leave residues that initiate sour-service SSC. After cutting, deburr the cut end with a file or thread-clean die to restore chamfer.
Are threaded rods NACE MR0175 qualified? Yes, same chemistry, mechanical and heat-treatment as stud bolts. The 35 HRC sour-service hardness cap applies. NACE-stamped MTC available on request. Threaded rods cut to length in the field retain the NACE qualification, the cut introduces no metallurgical change.
What's the difference between ASTM F1554 anchor rod grades? ASTM F1554 covers three grades: Grade 36 (36 ksi YS, low-strength), Grade 55 (55 ksi YS, intermediate), Grade 105 (105 ksi YS, high-strength). Incoloy 925 at 110 ksi YS exceeds all three, for spec compliance, the Incoloy 925 anchor rod is supplied as "F1554 Grade 105 equivalent" with the actual ASTM B805 mechanical envelope reported on the MTC.
What's the typical lead time for Incoloy 925 threaded rods? Standard sizes (M10 to M30 / 3/8" to 1-1/8", lengths 1–3 m): 4–6 weeks. Larger diameters (M36 to M64 / 1-3/8" to 3"): 6–8 weeks. Custom lengths above 4 m: 8–10 weeks (limited by furnace clearance). Acme thread or anchor-rod end-fittings: add 2–3 weeks for the additional machining.
